Canon in early August officially presented the 10-megapixel digital camera EOS 40D, which is to be the successor to the EOS 30D. The new camera is more advanced than its predecessor.
40D features a new DIGIC III image processor, which allows for virtually instant camera ready for work, and the advanced color rendering.
40D lets you take pictures at ISO 1600 with 6.5 shots per second. According to Canon, the device can make 75 shots in one series. The product also uses a new AF system. The system is based on the 9 AF points, each of which measures the sharpness of the vertical and horizontal.
to view these images is a 3-inch LCD screen with histogram display in real time, allowing optimal parameter set exposure shots.
Canon EOS 40D is expected to cost about 1300 $.

The new Canon SLR camera saves the image using a matrix with a resolution of 10.1 megapixels CMOS sensor, which works with the latest DIGIC III processor. This allows excellent reproduction of detail and color, which particularly concerns the shadows and heavily exposed areas. Noise Reduction delivers clear, sharp images regardless of the ISO template (available from 100 to 1600). Images are stored in 14-bit color scale, which allows for better color depth.
EOS 40D allows you to take 6.5 pictures per second, 75 in the series (JPG) or 17 (RAW). With 9 points deployed cross-type AF system works better and is more robust. Bright 3-inch LCD screen enables accurate preview of recorded images, as well as the frame before taking pictures using the Live View function, particularly useful in unusual scenes.
DIGIC III processor used in the 40D provides fast image recording with 14 bit color depth. In addition, minimizes power consumption by the camera, and the startup time is just 0.15 seconds.
Integrated cleaning system used in the 40D, also known in other SLR cameras, will prevent the dust on the sensor, which adversely affect the quality of the images. Every time you turn on the camera system sets a template in a gentle twitching, shaking of the pollen.
